Is there a proper Kinja place to share this? Thanks.
Also, the aircraft is a bbi Elite Force 1/18 F/A-18C. It’s massive and its amazing.

Come on over to LALD! Mostly Hot Wheels scale cars and trucks, but we’ve got all manner of great modeling stuff, all are welcome.

If you're reading this from LALD I'd love authorship so that I could post more of this and some of my diecasts

Also 1:25 to life. Like LALD but with focus on model kits.

This thing is awesome. Is it 1:32? Also soon our LaLD overlords will grant you authorship ;)
Here’s a pre-emptive welcome!

I looked at that diecast site, and it seems awesome. Just saying. I’m now tempted to get out all of my cars that I played with as a kid and look at them again.

It’s 1:18. That on aircraft terms is fucking massive. It’s plastic, sure, but the detail is incredible and the size is phenomenal- it’s 36” long, 26” wide, and 10” tall.

I should probably post this to both, as you do have to snap on the wings, armament, fuel tanks, rudders, and tails.

Fantastic! I remember the “Legacy” model Hornets well from turning wrenches on them in my Navy days. I’m a big diecast collector (as my fellow LaLDers can attest) and have always wanted some detailed hand built models of my squadron’s jets.
I was an F/A-18A (throughG) as well as EA-6B technician, but for now, I’m left with only a handful of Maisto 1:87 (ish) scale toys... F/A-18C, F/A-18E, and A-6E...

Well for one, thank you for your service, and two, this 2004-spec C model is well worth the $150 cost. I'll put a review up soon

Holy crap that’s big. My father may have a 1:18 P-51 hanging in his Air force bar in his basement and it’s quite big. I can only imagine when you scale that to an F-18!
Heh, 1:18 F-18 ;)

I chose this aircraft over a 1:18 P-51 actually because of the size and detail especially. And also Navy wings are made of gold
